What one resume analysis gives you

HireGPS scores your CV against the role you target using recruiter rules, names the risks behind the score, and ranks what to fix first. The score and the decision come from those rules, not from an AI model. AI is used to read your CV and any job posting you paste, and to write the rewrite suggestions, interview questions and career guidance.

The outputs

Five capabilities. One decision.

  1. Evaluation

A suitability score, shortlist / hold / reject decision, and a ranked risk matrix. Know whether to apply before you spend time tailoring.

    "Score 76 · Shortlist · 3 active risks"

  2. Explanation

Plain-language reasoning behind every score and every flagged risk, each traceable to a named rule. The score comes from rules, not from an AI model.

"Leadership Gap: no direct reports listed for a Director-level role."

  3. Rewrite Recommendation

Stronger bullets built on facts already in your CV, in higher-impact language. Where a number or date is missing, you get a marked blank to fill, not an invented one.

"Missing a number? You get a blank to fill, not a guess."

  4. Interview Preparation

Interview questions targeting your highest-severity risks: the gaps a recruiter is likely to probe. The PDF guide adds a STAR answer structure.

"Tell me about a time you led a team without formal authority."

  5. Career Guidance

Macro-level coaching on certifications, languages, and leadership scope. It closes the gap between your current profile and your target roles.

"Add a recognized leadership certification within 12 months."

The process

From CV to decision in three steps.

  1. Step 1

    Upload or build your CV

Upload a PDF, DOCX, or TXT, or build from scratch inside the app. The parser shows you what it captured and lets you verify before the analysis runs. We will also ask whether you are staying in your field or pivoting, a one-tap choice that tunes the engine to your goal.

  2. Step 2

    Set your target

Title, industry, function, seniority, location. Tell us whether this is a specific application (one role at one company) or a general application (applying broadly). The engine weights the scoring accordingly. The system then resolves the recruiter persona that hires for your role at this seniority.

  3. Step 3

    Review your results

The analysis runs in 20–40 seconds. Your result spans six tabs: a shortlist score, active risks with full explanation, your strengths, and a ranked list of recommendations. Everything ordered by impact, nothing invented.

  1. The score

An overall 0–100 readout against the role, weighted by the recruiter persona for that seniority and function.

  2. The decision

Shortlist, Hold, or Reject: derived from deterministic thresholds, not from model vibes.

  3. The top risks

The named recruiter risks active on your application, ordered by severity so you know what to fix first.

Risk breakdown

Every active risk shows three things: what was detected in your CV, why it matters for this role, and what to do about it. No mystery: each risk traces to a named rule the engine can defend.

Your strengths

Not just gaps. The engine surfaces what is already working in your CV against this role, so you know what to protect, lead with, and reinforce in your cover letter and screen.

The rewrite

Sharper language. Same facts. The engine is built to rewrite your bullets using only what's already in your CV. Where a number or date is missing, it leaves a marked blank for you to fill. A language model writes the wording, so you accept, edit, or reject every change.

Interview preparation

Practice the questions your risks are likely to raise. Your highest-severity risks each map to a bank of likely interview questions; if your analysis flags none, there is no question bank. Not generic prep: questions picked for your specific gaps.

Career guidance

Beyond the immediate fixes: longer-horizon coaching on the gaps that shape your next move. Targeted to your specific profile and the recruiter logic for this seniority.
